Anthurium pendens, a lesser-known variety among the pendent anthuriums, is loved by avid anthurium collectors for its distinctive growth habit, ease of care, and elegant foliage. The most striking feature of this epiphytic species is its long, pendulous leaves that dangle dramatically from elevated positions, making it an ideal candidate for hanging baskets or high plant shelves. These leaves are typically narrow, with a glossy, deep green surface, and can grow quite long, adding a unique vertical element to plant displays.  This variety prefers a warm, humid environment with indirect, filtered light, similar to the understory of its native rainforest.
