Hoya deykae comes from Sumatra. The plant was found in 1990 by Mr. R. van Donkelaar and D. Jannink and was initially named after the lady Deyke Van Donkelaar. The plant is closely related to Hoya vitellinoides, Hoya vitellina and Hoya finlaysonii. With its heart-shaped heavily truncated leaves, the plant looks like the product of a relationship between Hoya kerrii and Hoya callistophylla. The flowers are also pretty typical of most of the Hoya finlaysonii complex and are yellow and lightly perfumed.

Hoya Deykae
Thrives in bright, indirect light but can also tolerate low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.
It prefers well-draining soil and benefits from allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to ensure the pot has proper drainage. Hoyas grow best in moderate to high humidity.
